Contemplation

I've not blogged for a good ten days, maybe that's a good thing though, as I have amounted a large pool of news, stories, information and theories in that time. That's a lie, my brain seems to work differently to others, in that if something is completely irrelevant and ultimately pointless, I seem to let it fall out of the memory banks in favour of stuff that really matters. I sure hope it's not just me who seems to forget the little things all the time.

I did come across an interesting argument in the paper the other day, and that was 'Abortion'. I don't know where I stand on this issue. I don't think a child, if it was going to be born, should have to suffer a terrible life with a parent who cannot afford to keep them if there's an alternate option. Then again, it is the life of a living thing, but it's just easier to think about it being a lump rather than something more as this brings up all sorts of arguments that are effectively grounded in facts. Murder is possibly one of the worst acts to commit, simply because you shouldn't have control of whether someone's life is to end, and a justful punishment for this is usually getting your life taken away be this literally or figuratively. Can we apply the same arguments to abortion? No, we cannot, because it isn't as simple to compare one thing to the other. All I have to say is that I'm glad I'm not in such a position where it's my decision.

Moving onto lighter topics, has anybody heard about the current use for the Government's biggest embarassment of 2000? The Millenium Dome is being turned into a multi functioning arena by those grand people at O2. It is named The o2 and will be open as of July 2007. I won't turn into a blogging advertisement space, so suffice to say, if you wish to learn more, click on the link I have provided.

Not much left to say, except that today has been a tough day, but last night was excellent. Just goes to prove that alcohol doesn't have to be a momentous force in a great night out. If I only had some more money to spend though, it's less than 4 weeks until Christmas...
